Free Bike Tagging with West Yorkshire Police

Keep your bike secure with bike tagging at Wellington Place! 

We’ll have representatives from the West Yorkshire Police Service on site on Friday 15th March 2024 to roll out their bike registering project.

Many bikes are handed into the WYP and reported as lost or stolen, these are often not returned to their owners due to lack of identification and subsequently left in storage to rust or destroyed. The new tagging initiative is designed to prevent the loss of goods and reduce the amount of unidentified bikes.

The process of registering is simple, they’ll place a sticker underneath your bike with a QR code that links to a police system with your details, allowing your bike to be properly identified and returned to you if needed.

This process only takes a couple of minutes and is completely free!
