Wrigleys Solicitors, one of the UK’s leading specialist legal practices, has announced it will be moving from its current home on Cookridge Street to the Wellington Place development located in the heart of Leeds
Wrigleys has enjoyed a presence in Leeds since it was founded in 1996. The niche areas of practice offering expert legal advice include Private Client, Agriculture, Property, Charities and the Social Economy and Pensions. The firm employs over 200 colleagues across its Leeds, Newcastle and Sheffield offices, with around 130 of those based in Leeds.
Wrigleys recognises the benefits of agile working and places a huge emphasis on colleagues’ wellbeing. The move also supports Wrigleys’ ongoing growth and recruitment ambitions.
The modern, open plan office design provides an environment in which colleagues can work collaboratively, effectively and efficiently, by offering a variety of different workspaces to choose from, giving colleagues the flexibility to choose how and where they want to work.
Marie-Louise Hamilton, managing partner at Wrigleys Solicitors, commented: “This is a really significant move for the firm, and it strengthens our vision of being the firm that everyone wants to work with. What immediately attracted us to Wellington Place was the community feel that you get every time you visit. The team there does an amazing job of organising a wide range of activities and events for both the Wellington Place community and the wider city, and clearly shares our values when it comes to workplace wellbeing and caring for colleagues.
“Additionally, thanks to its BREEAM Excellent rating, availability of EV charging points, and easy access to public transport links, our new home at 3 Wellington Place means we can work more sustainably, which is really important as both our colleagues and clients are committed to reducing their environmental impact.
She added: “Leeds is also known for the strength of its legal sector, and the wide range of firms based at Wellington Place is definitely testament to that. We’re excited to move into our new Leeds office and benefit from the strength of Wellington Place’s business community, as well as the wide range of amenities that it offers. We look forward to welcoming our clients to 3 Wellington Place.”
Paul Pavia, commercial director at MEPC, the developer and asset manager behind Wellington Place, said: “We’re delighted to welcome a leading name such as Wrigleys to the Wellington Place community. We pride ourselves on being a leading destination for the legal sector, playing home to the Ministry of Justice and many other professional organisations.
“Part of the beauty of Wellington Place is that we are always growing and developing, which in turn allows us to expand alongside our occupiers. We look forward to supporting Wrigleys Solicitors in the next phase of its growth.”
